There we have it, the Dow has fallen below 7,000. I'm no financial expert, but I'm confident the Dow will fall to the 4,000-6,000 range this year. There's a possibility for 3,000 - 4,000, but for now I think that's unlikely. What do you think?

I think it is time to buy soon. I doubt it will go below 6000 but may get close to that. The economy will start to rebound in the next year or two so getting some money in while it's down can't hurt. It is strange seeing the dow at levels it was at when I was in elementary school.

I remember my Dad saying he say the Dow around 800 in the 70's or 80's.

This reflects what the people with skin in the game think of the administration and their recovery plan. The Democrats will have to answer for this alone. As people lose their retirement and their homes drop in value it can all be laid at the feet of the Democrats and they spending policies. They think a little mouse is more important than a human life. Remember President Obama has stated during the campaign that he will destroy the coal industry. He does not want to make alternative energy cheaper but make coal and oil more expensive. I am beginning to think that he would be happy with the Dow at 0000.

I agree. I think Obama is ultimately in it for power, and because he wants to finish replacing free market capitalism with socialism.
