I went to college at age 16 and used a computer for the first time. I hated it and I was in my early twenties when I saw the Internet and I didn't like it at all. I went to university and lecturers suggest I use the Internet but I didn't choose to. I read books instead and hand wrote almost everything. I began teaching and the head teacher was trying to get all teachers knowledgeable about the Internet and computers. So I got a half price computer for teachers and slowly began using the Internet. Before long I liked it and was happy to teach a class of 30 about it.

Of course no problem surviving without it. But it's just one of those things that once you do have it, it's hard to survive without it. Not impossible. Last year, I went 2 months where my laptop was broke and I couldn't afford to get it fixed until I just bought another one off of e-bay. The worst part is watching tv and almost every commercial says "visit us at www..." And you think "I can't!"

Life before internet, was watching more television. Reading more books. Playing more guitar and singing. Going to the Mall, hanging around with others more often. But, I must admit, I like the internet. Though thinking about it, I should get back to real life a little too. You got me thinking. Take care.

My life was actually pretty good before the internet came along. I spent more time outdoors doing other things I love to do.
