Many on the American Left Dancing on Paul Harvey's Grave.

Many in the American Left Show their Blackhearted Hate with the Death of Paul Harvey. The myth that liberalism is about peace, love and tolerance is busted for the world to see on the liberal blogs and incompetent press.
Why do they hate him so much? He was against the war in Iraq and sided with the left on some issues, but that doesn't matter, because in general Paul Harvey committed the only capital crime for most liberals... he was a conservative.
It sickens me to see and hear the depths to which some liberal scum dive when a prominent conservative dies. The little ghouls can't wait to show their ignorance, intolerance and vile bigotry.
But it's good they let it out. It's great to see the facts about liberalism revealled. The truth is, tolerance, understanding and acceptance have nothing to do with liberalism, but are human traits.
A loving, caring person can be liberal, conservative, moderate or a little of each. The same is true for blackhearted hatemongers.

Why must you constantly assume that many Liberals are blackhearted and evil? I've never felt that way about conservatives. As for Paul Harvey, I know this will really surprise you but I never heard of him until he passed away. I also didn't know a whole lot about Rush Limbaugh until I came on here. I though he was some sort of midwestern commentator akin to Garrison Keillor. Most Liberals do not read conservative media and here in the Northeast people usually only listen to their favorite music station on the radio and that's only when they drive. We are just not into talk radio.

I never said ALL. I said MANY. Many means many and where I hail from it is NONE. I think that there is a tendency on the part of a lot of folks on here to assume that what is in their media applies to every liberal in every region of the country even those who do not necessarily know what the heck you're talking about. It's generalization and it is divisive and generates mistrust and hatred. For many of us the world does not revolve around the talk radio and media of the right wing and we don't understand who these blackhearted evil people are but you are claiming that it is MANY of the people whose politics are Liberal like ours. Frankly, most of us are way more careful than you about even calling people blackhearted and evil.

Do excuse me for expressing my opinion in a free country. Maybe you could supply some links or info on what these MANY blackhearted hate mongers are saying. I'd seriously like to judge for myself if they are spewing more anger and hatred than you are.

I am a liberal and I am not happy to hear of Paul Harvey's passing. I thought he was a thoughtful man who's voice you could pick out in seconds. He was creative, always a professional, and a great example of how to do your job. The only thing that I didn't like about him was how he whored himself out promoting everying, but I hate it when anyone does that. I really never knew he was a conservative, because he was always a professional. I wish that we had more people like him.

Thanks. I agree, I never knew he was a conservative either, nor did I really care. The only political issue I ever knew his position on was the war in Iraq... which he was emphatically against.

Agreed, we would do well to have a lot more people like Paul Harvey. Imagine what could be accomplished if more people who could put 76 years into the field they love.

I'm also a liberal who was very saddened to hear of Harvey's passing. I didn't realize he was a conservative until several years ago but for the most part he didn't get too involved in political bickering and that's why I respected him and enjoyed listening to him.

While I am not sure of what you are talking about, I know that Harvey, unlike some, was the most neutral commentator in the media that I ever heard. My condolences to his family, and may his gentle soul finally rest in peace!

That's become rather typical and I can honestly say I only see it on the left. When Senator Kennedy was ill with cancer I saw people from both parties desperately hoping he'd be ok. When an assassination attempt on former president Bush Sr. failed I actually heard liberals joke saying "too bad". That's not even getting into the way Al Franken made jokes about helping al Quaeda assassinate W. Bush. That certainly hasn't stopped liberals from supporting him.
I think the worst may have been when Jim Jeffords changed to an independant in the senate and Mary Francis Berry said in front of an NAACP luncheon "Gee and I was waiting for Senator Strom Thurmond to die so that the senate could flip to the Democrats". She, the sitting chairman of the "US Commission On Civil Rights" felt within her comfort zone to say such a thing. She received a standing ovation.

Go ahead and find me an example of republicans giving a standing ovation when a joke is made about wanting a 98 year old democrat to die.

"That's become rather typical and I can honestly say I only see it on the left. When Senator Kennedy was ill with cancer I saw people from both parties desperately hoping he'd be ok."Taskr: it took me all of five minutes to locate these gems:Blooger on conservative web site re Teddy Kennedy's brain surgery: "One Liberal Down"
Michael savage on Clinton's triple bypass heart surger: "He should fully recover because hell was full"Ann Coulter on John Edwards while he was running against John Kerry: I was going to have a few comments about the other presidential candidate - John Edwards but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word "f*ggot" so I can't really talk about Edwards.
Cruelest comment of all as far as I'm concerned on either side of the fence was when Rush Limbaugh called thirteen year old Chelsea Clinton "A dog". What kind of grown man passes publicly insults the appearance of a young teenage girl?
Open your eyes it is not only on the Left.

I guess I just hold any adult who attempts to destroy the self image of a little girl in greater contempt than you do ted. I not only do not support or condone child abuse but I recognize that it can be verbal as well as physical which you obviously do not.
I am a liberal but I have never cheered or condoned any of this nonsense and neither to my knowledge have any of the thousands and thousands of other liberals in the blue state where I live.
The sampling I posted was small and included only a few quotes because I only spent five minutes goggling them up. Frankly, it made me sick and I'm sorry that I spent even that much time spreading hate. I just cannot bear listing to how ALL the hate is one sided and it's always wrong on the Left but justifiable on the right. It is NEVER EVER justifiable.

Annie, so what do you think about John Edwards using his wife's cancer as a political football... then cheating on her.
John Edwards would sell his wife into slavery and laugh about it on national TV... and his supporters would laugh with him.
