I am trying to save money so instead of hitting Starbucks before going to my son Karate class Saturday, I decided to try out McDonald's.
Well, I got a large (I guess 20oz) and it was $3.50 for a Vanilla Latte - not that much cheaper than Starbucks. The espresso was weak and the syrup was much too sweet (I ended up drinking half then adding coffee to the cup). The Manager made the drink, I would hope she would know how to make the drinks properly.
I guess that is what I get for not getting the free sample first LOL
Have you tired the McCafe? If so, what do you think?
Did I get a bum drink?

I haven't tried it, thanks for warning me! LOL
Only thing I've tried is the iced coffee and that's pretty good. Only get the Vanilla one from there. My daughter got one and gave me a taste and it was good. LOL Flipped her out, I don't like ice coffee. lol

For some reason, it's almost just as expensive to buy drinks at McDonalds as it is at other "specialty" coffee shops. McDonalds McCafe coffee drinks are OK, nothing special, and pretty expensive for it being McDonalds. My best advice to you is to just make a commitment to yourself (maybe a late Lent thing) to QUIT drinking expensive cappuccinos, and just buy some french vanilla coffee grounds, and bring a thermos with you wherever you go. It sounds lame, but you can get a whole bag of (flavored) coffee grounds for about $5, which is pretty much almost what you're paying for one cup of coffee. It might be a hassle, but it will honestly save you so much money!
