I have malwarebytes anti malware program in my computer. But I could not open it because of this virus which has disenabled it. I read in yahoo answers,I can rename this file and run the antimalware program. I could not properly rename it.(I renamed it .dll,.sys,etc that did not work out) How do I rename it? I could not download any new program, because now the system is also very slow. Is there any other methods? Have anyone faced this problem? How did you remove the virus? Your practical tips and methods are welcome Thank you in advance Happy mylotting

You can't do anything unless you have clean the virus out of your computer system. I suggest you download FREE virus cleaner by using another computer and next transfer to your computer. Such as avira, multi-virus cleaner 2009, avast, AVG and many others. I got three (3) virus cleaner stored in my computer due to my past bad experiences on virus attack.

Yes, I have heard a lot of things about this malware and spyware. I am not very familiar with them. Reading your post certainly help me since I am now convinced that I should install those programs on my computer and not rely on anti-virus alone.

Hi jpso So far I have faced two times the malware problem.Once with fake AV2009 and now with spyware protect 2009.The antivirus program installed in my computer could not remove these.Only with malwarebytes anti malware program,I removed them. So one should have both antivirus and antispyware programs. They are freely available online. Happy mylotting

I've met this similar problem and I have solved it as well. Boot your computer in safemode and disable the virus's startup entry. If you use tuneup utilities, you can find the directory of that startup file and there you can find the virus. Delete it. If this doesn't solve the problem, download kaspersky (even a trial version will do) update it and run a scan. Kaspersky will find it for sure. Hope this solves your problem :)
