Just a question on my mind. A friend ask me this and I did think long and hard about it but really...is it rude or not? I mean....even if the person can't say anything I think it would be rude because I feel like he would be focued more on chewing so that he won't choke than signing.

now this is kind of funny in away. i was about to ask my wife since she does sign due to being partly def. but i don't see how it's rude for real. mouth is full of food and open well they are eating, and signing you scream or sign "STOP TALKING WITH YOUR MOUTH FULL!!!" sorry but this is too funny.

People usually talk in response to someone else. If you are deaf, you talk with your hands. If your hands are full, it is rude. If your mouth is full, it is not. Really?
