My friend, a woman in her 50s who just can't see herself without a man. And she has terrible taste in Men. I have been through so many heartbreaks with her and wish I could help, but what's to do. This woman is kind, and loving and can't not try to save some poor male soul Whats to do?

well you know everyone needs a companion and in her age it is more for company then for physical nature of company so let her have a partner and hope for the best. I think in 50s her kids would be married and living their own life and she might be feeling lonely and thus needs a company. I am sure she would soon find a guy with whom she can be very happy.

Maybe she needs to see a counselor..

If she doesn't see the problem, I don't see what you can do. A person has to recognize that there's a problem and WANT to change.

I feel my cousin might be of the same sort.... Wish I had the answer...sometimes, being blunt with her is the only thing that has really worked...

I'm afraid that there is not much you can do. For some women, their life isn't complete without a man in it, even if he's horrible. I find it very difficult to understand, but there are a lot of women like that. It's so sad, but maybe you could point out to her all the advantages of being on her own.
