What's one of your worst memories?

I have a few really bad ones. One of the more recent horrible memories was two years ago when I was in court for my divorce. The whole divorce was an ordeal to begin with. My ex-husband was abusive, a liar, etc etc... When I was finally able to get him out of the house (the police were no help!), he moved constantly so he was able to avoid being served the divorce papers. He made it as hard on me as he possibly could. He had also burned many of my childhood pictures and clothing of mine, among other things... Anyway, that day in court, after my lawyer had to hire two private investigators just to track him down and serve him the papers, even though my ex-husband didn't contact anyone in order to contest the divorce, I still had to recount the history of our horrible marriage. The funny thing was, that was when it really sunk in how bad my marriage truly had been, and all the traumatic things I had just shrugged off as they happened really came into perspective. The judge even said it was one of the worst cases he'd heard. It's all been over now, but sometimes my ex-husband still tries to contact me or my family. I have told him to leave us all alone... I hate even hearing from him at all. I have a wonderful man in my life now who is the Mr. Right I have been waiting for. :) Is there anything you'd like to share, or something you'd like to vent about/get off your chest? Sometimes it helps just to tell it to another person.

My worst memory in my entire life was the day my mom and I had a terrible accident. Of course, my personality, I tried to make a joke to the cop that was standing over top of us...he didn't find it very funny though. My mom and I were moving some of our things, my parents had a pretty bad argument. We had a little beat-up car that got us from point A to point B. Apparently, the car had an exhaust leak that needed to be fixed, bad. We were driving down a pretty curvy road and my mom passed out behind the wheel from the exhaust coming through the vents. My mom was only going about 35 at the time. By the grace of God, we didn't hit anything going around these turns (yes, I believe in angels and our angels are pretty dented up today). We went about a mile (around these curves and houses and whatnot) until we hit this long strip. The car went up to about 65 mph and we hit a big old tree on the side of the road, right in the middle of our front. My mom woke up from the hit (I saw everything but was too young to do anything) and she started screaming. We had a guy that we knew following us down the road, he came running up and literally, ripped the seat belt in half off my mom because we couldn't get them off. He pulled her out of the car and sat her next to the side of the car. She saw a fire under the car and told him to get me out. At the time, the paramedics, police, shock trauma helicopter and whatnot was there and got me out. I tried to joke with the cop that was sitting with me and my mom and I told him that I just got that string (the kind that you make bracelets and etc with) and laughed a little...he didn't think it was funny. The paramedics took me to a local hospital and took my mom to shock trauma (she had a plate in her head from an accident from when she was 4..longer story). I was without my mom for a couple of weeks. She had a collapsed lung and some broken bones. I had broken my left rib cage, right arm and had some serious bruises.

My worst memory is when we lived in a joint family and my mom used to worl till late and come half an hour later then us. My aunt used to live with usmy father's siter and me and my brother used to come home from school together. My aunt had a dog of whom I was afraid of, my aunt used to see me at thegate of the park near my home and used to set off the dog on me. I was just around ten at that time and I used to run howling back to the bus stand. She used to enjoy that and I never told my mom that I knew she can not do anything about it. My brother was everyone's favorite as he was a boy and I was just a girl. Not even smart enough according to them, in India being born as a girl is a huge stigma. I still carry the scars form those days and I wish I would have told my mom about it becuase she loved me no matter what. She also suffered at the hands of my aunt and my granny.

I have a lot of bad memories, my husband's illness, my son's illness, my son's overdose, so many I don't really want to talk about them here.

In 2004 my parents made me move to another town. I lost my one true friend and since then I've never had another best friend. It hurt like hell, but I managed to find that guy on MySpace, and we chat through mail sometimes. But it still sucks knowing I just left without even saying bye.
