what is blood oranges

i dnt know what it is i knw i seen it in the peper and i dnt like the way it look if yall see it and if you try it let me knw if it is safe to eat i dnt want it but why would you buy something like that and eat something like that if you like blood you can eat all you want but nt me that dnt look good

I get them here all the time. In fact, they are the only kind of orange that I will eat. The inside looks more like a ruby red grapefruit. But when they are ripe, they are the sweetest orange out there. They are definitely my favorite.

yeah the type of color inside the orange is darker , ive actually ate a few before , when i first heard of it i was like " What ! im not eating that ! " but it was a regular orange , and now i just eat em like anyother now

Blood oranges are called that because the interior flesh of the orange is reddish in color. If you can get them fresh, they can be quite sweet and good. I have eaten them in Italy when I was there on vacation and I remember enjoying them very much.

blood oranges are oranges that have a a reddish tint. You get them at certain times of the year and I think that they come from Spain. I like oranges that are different and unusal and these are oranges that meet this qualification. I think they are not available everywhere however.

The "blood" in blood orange only refers to the color. They are just like any other orange. They might be a little more bitter than regular oranges but they are still quite good. Give it a try!
