I want to watch shows via the internet, YouTube, wherever, but want to view them on my TV. I have heard there is some kind of cable that you can get to connect PC to TV... anyone know if it or have a name, brand... something... so I can buy one? I am a novice, so any help you can offer would be appreciated!

If you have just bought your PC recently, then your vga card should have pre-installed S-Video port. You can use a S-Video cable to connect your PC S-Video port to your TV S-Video port.
Note: Not all TV brand have S-Video port, but usually latest product already have S-Video port with them.
Or..
You can try to connect via a RCA connector (the connector with Red, Yellow, and White jack). Hope this help!

Thanks for the help...my TV is older, but it does have the red/white/yellow cable connectors. My PC is also about 5 years old so I'll have to see if the S-video is on there. if it isn't, how do I get that vga card for S-Video?

blablablu - how can I tell if I have the PC S-Video port? I have searched everything I can see but can't find anywhere that says if I have it or not. I dont' find anything about a vga card either. Any suggestions?

I got the S cable and can connect the two but wonder now... is there a software program that I need as I have them connect but seems I need to tell the PC where to show the images....or maybe it'll just show on both and I turn the monitor off? Do you know?
