Have you ever downloaded compressed games from rapidshare or megaupload?

Hi,
I am recently download pirates of Caribbean worlds end from a rapidshare link.The game downloaded size is only 138Mb and after installing it became 1.2Gb.Very good compression.Actually my net connection is slow.Thats why to download big files it takes big times.Thats why i am looking for compressed games.I heard this direct links are illegal.Is it true?

Yeah...I have GTA:San Andreas compressed size 690MB...its uncompressed size is 4.3GB excluding radio stations...now that is extreme compressing...Once I dloaded GTA: San Andreas size 10MB only[:O]...but it was fake...[:P]

Ya you can find lots of these compressed games out there such as games by or relased by Skullptura.
Direct links are not necessarily illegal, just depends what you download. If you download full games and you dont pay for it, that is illegal since the developers,game company etc recieve no payment for it.

Most of the time, if you download it from direct link, they would be demos and would ask for patch or serial number all the time.
While on Rapidshare, since we get paid for every download, people would give legal games on this site.
I have donwloaded Resident evil from this site but that didn't work on my pc and I am now looking for an ISO of this site for my ps1 emulator.
