I think we will enjoy some Corned beef and Cabbage with red potatoes. We would go and see a parade but there isnt one close by. What will you be doing on Saint Patricks day? Do you think St patricks day is a lucky day?

My long time dreaming but till now not yet come true and through is to celebrate Saint Paddy's Day or Saint Patrick's Day or Paddy's Day in Chicago. Because during this time, March 17, the Chicago River is dyed green and it is widely celebrated although it is not an official holiday. I mean, to get the real moment of feeling into it while on green dressing. About whether it is a lucky day or not, from what I heard on this day we have to wear in full green dress to "catch" the fortunate luck. How far it is true or not, I don't know because it is from old folks sayings about that. Just believe.....!

when my son was little I used to take him out to the parade every year but now I am too sick to do it. I just stay home and it becomes a day like any other day.

I don't normally do anything special on St. Patrick's Day. I might do a corned beef and cabbage. My dad's side of the family does a big party the weekend before or the weekend after St. Patrick's Day every year. I have not been in a few years though.

I enjoy St Patrick's day because my name is Pat. Mostly we just enjoy an Irish dinner and if working add green to the wardrobe. My husband has some Irish in him so we listen to the music and enjoy the dance. Wish i could do that dance.

hello moneymommy Saint Patricks Day will just be another day to me except for wearing something green for the day so that i won't get pinched. ouch! last year where my eight year old son goes to elementary school, his teacher at the time, on Saint Patricks Day, made the class green eggs and ham for their school breakfast that morning. lol and i have heard of people making green gravy with biscuits before to eat on Saint Patricks Day. lol ewww. but your corned beef, cabbage and red potatoes sound delicious for dinner that day. are you going to put some green food coloring on your red potatoes? lol and may the luck of the Irish be with you on Saint Patricks Day. lol take care and have a beautiful day today!

I will be spending the day with my sister and her husband - they throw a party every year where they live to watch the parade in their city. I'm not sure March 17th is any more lucky a day for me than any other, but the two of them met on St. Patty's Day nine years ago, so I'd say it's a pretty lucky day for them!

Sitting here in front of this computer MyLotting, I have no plans for that day. I hope it is a lucky day for me. I think I will try to find me a four leaf clover somewhere, and make a wish.

We don't really do anything special on St. Patricks Day. We will probably wear omething green but that's about it. Your meal sounds really good I may have to steal that idea!
