I was painting several doors for a friend as I am a pretty good painter. Anyway, it was full gloss enamel, and every time I seem to use it my ashtma just goes bad. Just wondering is there a reason for this? Yes I smoke its bad with ashtma I know, but its only when I paint its like this. For instance, my ashtma has been bad the last week cause I painted a chest of drawers which now are in my room. Do you reckon I have a reaction to this paint and if so what sort and is there anything to fix it fast cause its annoying not being able to breath propely. Thanks.

You should always paint with plenty of ventilation. All doors and windows open. I should move the chest of drawers out of your room for a time until the paint smell has gone. It sounds as though you are quite sensitive to the smell so the only thing you can do is not be around newly painted areas.
