when you can't sleep , what do you usually do?

sleep is running off from me and despite that i need it right now, it is far from closing in. so what do you do when sleep evades you? (P.S. been away three long months, can i really do this now? i mean mylotting?-let's see..)

i used to go on the computer but i found it just woke me up even more. now i usually lay in bed and play this mind game. i pick a topic and then go through the alphabet and pick something with that letter that relates to that topic ie: weather -a-atmosphere, b-barometer, c-clouds or countries a-austria, b-brazil, c-canada (you get the picture.) this helps me fall back to sleep easier and give my brain a work out.

now, that's indeed mind stimulating.. and interesting. however, i just feel so nauseatic and exhausted to think. if only sleep will be friendly this time. or maybe i should just try to leave the pc and see if ican doze off lying down.. well.. let's try. thanks cher.

I used to have sleeping problems till I bought my new adjustable bed, now I sleep like a baby, but I remember that what I used to do was to read a lot and that helped a little. The best is my new bed from www.swisssleepsystem.com

I find it difficult to sleep if I spend too much time on the computer. It seems to keep your brain active and unable to shut down when you go to bed. I mostly read a book or magazine. Something light, no murder stories or anything like that. Having a hot drink like cocoa is good too as well as hot milk.

When I can't sleep, I try to just lay on the bed and hope to fall asleep again, if it doesn't halp, I will go downstairs to play on the computer...

I get up and start reading. Or work on the computer. Log on to myLot. Allow the fear that next day I will look like a sleepy-head in office the next day to sink in. This fear makes me to fall asleep before long.

Hi, I usually go online on the internet and surf internet, i also eat some things ,first i cook then i eat so it takes time and i the time gets closer to sleep time . Cheers ,Happy sleep

My father is a healthy man. He always tells my mother and me to lay on bed when we can't sleep. It is his way to overcome his sleeping problem. Just let your body and muscle have a rest. You can just take a rest and think what you want to think, like when you will have your holiday, when you will get married, what great movie you want to see the following days, also anything, but not to think "when you can sleep". Hope it could help.

when i cant sleep, i simply pay a cool music. it really works for me. you can take ur favourite beverage really chilled, then paly a cool blues, you wont even know when u'll doze off. good luck.
