How many hours of sleep do you get in one night?

I've been keeping track of mine and I average between 6 to 8 hours. And last night I got a full eight and I woke up completely rested and raring to go. I even hopped on the computer while my coffee was percolating...LOL So how many hours do you need?

Hello! Normally I sleep at 1 AM and get up at 6 AM which means I sleep for five hours in the night and in day time I sleep for an hour.I think it is enough for me.However sleeping hours depends largely on our age and nature work we do everyday.thanx.

I often sleep between 9 and 11 hours every night, but not in a "row". I've got a little Jack Russell Terrier who just keeps waking me up by scratching my back, farting (yuck!) or licking my face. If I could sleep undisturbed, I think 7 or 8 hours would be enough.

I need about 9 and I try to get it but not always. I'd like about 10 to 12 but then I'd miss half the day.

I generally need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep. If I can't get that many hours, I try to get at least six hours of sleep. I really do not want to get less than that. I find that, if I do get less than 6 hours of sleep, I can't really function properly. I think that I can function a lot better, if I get 7 to 9 hours of sleep.

I probably get about 6 hours of sleep. I don't sleep straight through though because my son always climbs in our bed in the middle of the night.
