I like to work online and earn a little extra money writing reviews. I belong to a few different sites but so far I have to say that the only one that I have found that actually pays is Ciao. The rest of the sites that I have come across cannot pay to users in Canada for some reason. I am wondering if anyone here on mylot knows of some good Paid to post or paid to review sites? Can you recommend some to me? What do you like or dislike about these kinds of sites? Do you think that it is possible to earn a part time income from them? What do you recommend for online jobs tha don't require money first?

Here is one site where you can write reviews and get paid. It is "Review Stream". You can write brief reviews about a variety of things you come across in your dat-to-day activities, hotels, restaurants, shopping, media, food, movies, and more. I have been writing reviews for "Review Stream" for the last six months and I am very happy with it. They pay which ever country you are based at. Take a look at the site. Just type in Review Stream on any search engine, and it will be there. Enjoy writing reviews. Have a nice day.

I did try RS but heard some stories about people being suddenly 'frozen out' when they neared their cash-out limit. My favourite is DooYoo, which is much fairer and a very friendly site. They're based in Holland I think, but I know they take submissions from all over the world. You collect DooYoo miles and cashout is $50. Try joining elance, getafreelancer etc as well as writing sites like Helium, Constant content etc. Lots of jobs there - include 'data entry' in your profile. All these are free to join though the freelancing sites do upgrades as well. for more serious writing, AC and CC are good. Suite 101 too, but the standards are high.

I have written and been paid for reviews on Epinions, although I am not sure if they take Canadian members. I joined when they had a big promotion and were paying $1/review. Even though I have not been active on them lately, I continue to earn good residual income, and at the end of last year, cashed out a $30 check from them. I have considered going back and doing more work, but at the moment I am wrapped up on writing for Helium. Good luck finding sites!

You got paid at Epinions??? How? I have several reviews there and haven't earned a cent there despite having had page views on my reviews.

I am a member at Gather, and at Associated Content. I know there are Canadian friends on Gather, but I'm not sure about AC. You'd have to check them out. I will definately be looking at Ciao though. Can we get paid in the US on that site?

How long have you been at Ciao??? There rate of pay sucks now since it's only via page views of people reading and rating your reviews. I started there back in October when one got paid $1.00 per review, and a bonus $1.00 if you were the first time reviewer...needless to say I made a nice "bundle" of money the very first month (a little over $90.00)...then the rate of pay dropped to 25-cents per review...my earnings the next month dropped to $58.00..now with the page view thing only last month I made only over $5.00..So if you think your earnings are great there it's nothing like it used to be. The place I stick to is Associated Content, but even their rates of payment are going down too. In fact it seems all writing sites are going down in payment.

I'd constantly read this discussion! I'm also interested to just work at home and earn the extra income. But I don't know a lot of sites that do that....

I recently signed up for muhalo (sp) greenhouse. not sure too much about how good it is yet. I thought I'd just throw that out there for now, but I will let others know more about it when I've actually something to show for my efforts. Haha, I haven't even made it to fixing my profile page up yet. LoL!
