When machine are able to think like humans should they get equal rights

At some point in the future robots will have intelligence like humans , extend human rights to include synthetic life ? Personal I think when robots become concious we need to include them as equals in human society if they have a desire to be more than servants to us .

I've seen documentaries exploring the possibilities of how far a machine can or will be able to go in relation to compare it to the human mind and I'm still on the side of scientists that don't believe so. Even with applied super technology, there's still the human factor where emotions, feelings and human nature decisions are made which can't be emulated.

I'm afraid there is long way to go.. but if there is such instance..I believe machine share the equal rights.

Yes. If they have minds of their own, and can think, and are affected by things like we are, they should be treated like a person, and not some darn robot, even though that's what they are.
