Hi eaforeman dear! That usually happens to me at least once or twice a week. haha..Never learned what to prioritize when all things come at the same time. As if each onme is calling my name and wants to be rescued first! Yikes! What I just do is try to do one or two things at a time if can and try to just do my best under the circumstance. I wouldn't be pissed or annoyed, I will just try to enjoy being busy and being so much needed and being in demand! LOL!
Take care and have a great day!

I have let the phone go to voice mail or asked the person on the line if I can call them back. As far as a friend coming over I would ask them to talk to me while I was doing what ever I was doing.

In the words of the song by Michael and Janet Jackson "SCREAM" LOL. I think you need to go into a closed room and punch the pillows or scream so no one else can hear you, get it out of your system because it can be very stressful and your blood pressure rapidly rises off the scale. You do get some days like this and you have to nod and accept it and hope tomorrow it will be the reverse and you can catch up on stuff you weren't able to do because of yesterday's crisis. Sometimes you just wish there was a button that you could turn yourself off and on, or better still make yourself invisible.

Yesterday was like that for me. I didn't have enough of me to seem to accomplish anything. It did all work out but it sure was a mess for a while. You just try to go with the flow and ask some if you can call them back in just a little while.

I keep my mouth shut but get so frustrated inside that I could blow up.. I try to keep cool but worry so much about what I need to get done that I can't enjoy my friends visit and end up with a huge stomach ache.. Guess I need to learn to open my big mouth and tell my friend that I am too busy to visit and just take the phone off the hook, but I don't I keep my mouth shut and get a stomach ache..

I have days like that quite often and what I do is I decide to be completely anti-social.
I'll close the blinds, lock myself in my room (or wherever I'm doing work) and I'll ignore absolutely everything else.
My phone will ring and I want even check who it was. Someone will knock at the door and I'll simply ignore them.
It sounds really rude of me, but sometimes you really just have to shut everything out in order to get things done, especially if you have deadlines or times where you need things finished by.
