Do you own your own business? Do you claim mileage, business loss, etc? Do you work for someone else? Do you have other expenses that you claim?

I don't have a whole lot to claim, I'm just me and I own very little... However, it's worth noting that after watching Aaron Russo's "Freedom to Facism" and having begun to read Dr. Griffin's "The Creature From Jekyll Island" I realize how evil, how sinister and diabolical institutions such as the Federal Reserve and IMF truly are. The IRS is not a government agency, but simply the enforcers for the Federal Reserve--an "agency" (actuality a private banking cartel) and our income taxes do not go to the government or our country's infrastructure, but only go to partially tackle the ever-growing interest on the dollars our government (and thus, "we the people") owe to this corrupt and insidious institution.

I don't have my own business, no, but if I did, I would claim for mileage etc against it, most certainly. I think that if you work for somebody else, the expenses side of the job is almost non-existant here now. They used to pay travelling expenses and we could get subsidised meals in some jobs, which I think still remains, but it's not evident as a reimbursement... more of a perk. Brightest Blessings.

We claim business expense since my husband is an "independent contractor" rather than an employee of the company. Of course next year he probably won't be able to claim me as a deduction. Ha! Then he will have to pay more.

These days I am not working so we just take standard deductions. But when we had the business we had so much to write of and so little profit that as far as taxes went we rarely paid any.
