This discussion is probably going to be on a couple of different aspects of marriage. I've noticed that this discussion category does not have very many posts, so I thought I'd contribute, and try to get my name on the leaderboard for fun. I have a few questions, that I hope are fun, that you all will answer. You don't have to answer all of them, lol, but hey this is as just for fun kind of discussion. 1. Do you remember how nervous you were when you were planning your wedding? 2. Do you remember when the nervousness kicked in? 3. Did you have any faults in the planning process? 4. Did you have a big wedding, or small wedding? 5. Did you have a lot of food or a little? 6. Did you make your own decorations? 7. Do you think that the decade you were married in had any effect on the way you were married, or the marriage itself? 8. Did you do civil or church, and did you do it for convenience, cost, or what reason? 9. Are you still married to the person? 10.Did you write your own vowels? I hope that this discussion was fun for you! Oh and ofcourse if you think of any other questions go ahead and write them and answer them. Be sure to put them in bold though so as to get attention to them! I'll answer it even, lol, well if I can! I appreciate all responses, and hope you are having fun mylotting!

I'm going to answer your questions... LOL 1. I wasn't nervous about planning my wedding, I was excited, and I had it all done in 2 weeks!!! 2. The nervousness kicked in the night before my wedding. (Too late to back out now - LOL) 3. Faults in the planning - yes, but nothing I could have controlled. There was a fire on the highway on our way to the chapel, it delayed us (bride and maid of honour and bridesmaids) for a full 40 minutes. My husband thought I was not going to show up. 4. Our wedding had about 110 guests. We each had our primary person - maid of honour, best man and two others, plus ring bearer and flower girl, so 8 of us in the limo!! 5. I remember eating a lot of Prawns... they were so delicious. We had a beautiful spread, although I can't remember what the main dish was. Probably roast beef. 6. The place where we had our reception was already mostly decorated. It had beautiful white lights strung up tastefully everywhere. I made the centre pieces for the tables and the wedding favours - handmade hand painted paper mache boxes containing a "hug" and a "kiss" chocolates. 7. I think since we got married in 1999, it was the last of the 90's, it was sort of a "do whatever you like" time. We planned things like "doing the limbo" etc., to make it non-traditional where ever we could. 8. We had a civil ceremony with a Justice of the Peace, neither of us is particularly religious. We loved each other then and still do now, and I wanted to elope, but my husband wanted the big wedding. Meh - if I had to do it over again, I'd be on a beach in Mexico getting married. 9. Yes, we are still married - 10 years this year! 10. Yes, we wrote our own vows, mostly. I added in a few paragraphs about him helping with dishes... that got quite a few laughs at the ceremony. He was totally shocked. LOL. That's just me though, I love to make people laugh.

Thank you so much for your response, lol and I hope you had fun. My fiance and I are planning our wedding now, I don't think I mentioned that. It sounds as if you had a very nice wedding, but can I ask you what prawns are? I think I've heard of it before, but am not sure. Again, I appreciate the response and hope you are having fun mylotting.

Well congratulations!!! It will be the most exciting day of your life. Just keep in mind that it goes by so quick, so remember to enjoy every moment. By the way prawns are super large shrimp. I spent a lot of time online on wedding sites for ideas, but do something special for your big day just for you and your husband too. Like have some champagne chilling in the place you are staying at for when you get there and a nice soak in a jetted tub!!

I wasn't sure what prawns were, lol, and I think I've heard of it being shrimp. My fiance and I do not drink actually, and we're not sure what we'll do for our honeymoon. I appreciate the suggestion though. My fiance and I have actually been looking online as well, so that's exciting.
