I bought some vitamins today. One is a B complex with vitamin C added and the other bottle is Calcium with Magnesium and zinc. Do you take these vitamins on a regular basis. Do you think they will help with inflamed nerves? I also am wondering if they can help with anxiety?

What you brought are good combinations but I'm not sure they will solve your problems. Inflamed nerves and anxiety go hand in hand. Sounds like maybe a hormone problem or other chemical problem. Have you had blood work done? It will often show a lack of something you need. There is a homeopath pill on the market called Calms it is good for this situation and may help. I use it now and then. Just make sure you do the medical testing so you know nothing is necessary there. Good luck

Remember the best diet for you doesn't include anything white, no rice, potato, bread or sugar that is white. Good luck

Yes we try to avoid the white foods as much as we can. My husband needs to avoid them as well.

Yes I did blood work and they always say its fine. The only problems I have as far as blood work is concerned is elevated cholesterol levels as well as slightly high sugars. I will have to look into calms.

Vitamin B complex and vitamin C help when the body is under stress, because the body uses more of them. In may experience though, they do not reduce stress, as that was born in the mind and thoughts. Through meditation/yoga etc. the mind can be re-trained to regard calmness and centeredness as a desirable state to be in, and it will take your "instructions" to be this way. But if you've had a lot of past stress in life, it would have become a habit - and new habits would need to be learned. - Derek

Your right that stress and anxiety can become a habit. If you learn to react in certain ways it can become a part of who you are. So the key would be to unlearn the habit. I do believe meditation and yoga help a lot. I really have to get into the schedule of doing that.

Hi moneymommy...I take both of those..A calcium supplement is always great for women. Vitamin B is important too...Personally I take the vitamin B to help with cardiovascular issues however I know its also good for gastro and peripheral nervous system...Just dont take more vitamim B then suggested. The calcium I take 3 times a day but because I take other meds that can fascillitate bone loss. You should however, always check with your doctor even before taking vitamins..You may be taking something else that would react with it.. I think exercise is the best cure for anxiety...for me its swimming as I cant do much else.

Yes I suppose we should all be getting extra Calcium. Last night I took my first Calcium pill and I find it to be very relaxing and I got a good nights sleep. I remember when I was pregnant and had to take calcium pills I always got a good effect from them.

I am worry to hear that you want the Vitamins to cure your inflamed nerves! I never heard that Vitamins can give effects for the illness. Have you ask doctors for help? You know I just have the Vitamins for making up, not take them as medinice. Anyway you'd better see a doctor to make yourself better! Wish you recovery soon! Good luck to you!
