Would you rather shave your head or dye your hair bright orange?

I'm feeling a bit goofy right now . If you're given the choice to shave your head or dye it with bright orange color, what will you choose? Why? ...As for me, I'd rather shave my head, then lock myself up in my room, I won't go out till it grows long again, lol

I'd choose the bright orange. I've had blue hair before, so I can't imagine bright orange being too different in the attention factor. Although I doubt orange would look as cool as blue did, or maybe I'm biased because my favourite colour is blue.

I wonder what shade of blue it is

I think I would probably rather dye my hair than save my head. I would think that the dye would grown our of my hair faster than it would take for my hair to grow back in. My hair doesn't seem to always grow out so fast right now. I might be able to deal with the orange a lot better, as long as it wasn't a really brassy shade.

It's really hard to cut your hair, specially if it's long. I understand that. Orange was a good color

I'd go for the bright orange and just tell everyone that I had to or else. I have long hair and I can't imagine it being short even....let alone shaved. It would have to be a very worthwhile dare for me to do either of those things...VERY worthwhile. I'm pretty sure that I could fix the orange much quicker than I could grow my hair back out and I can't be locked in a room for that long. enjoy that solitude!

LOL, seems like a little sarcasm, there Well, to tell you honestly, I'm allergic to hair colorings; tried it once and I ended up going to the doctor for scalp irritation. If I really have to come down to that choice, well, I guess, I could use the help of wigs, lol ! Thanks for the response, sidd!

hahaha. yeah dutchess, it's a good topic for the last day of the week. It relieves stress hahaha... I couldn't imagine myself with an orange hair too. I would look really pasty with orange hair and since I have a few freckles might as well be called a carrot when that happens... hahaha

I've had my hair many different colors, blue, blood red, black, white, yellow and slightly purple. Orange would be fine just for fun. I don't think any of my friends would be all that surprised at seeing me with orange hair. Actually I don't think they'd be all that surprised at seeing me bald either! Well maybe a little bit.

Wow, seems like you're very experimental with your hair. Yeah, if that's so, I think orange wouldn't be much of a difference. Thanks for the response, craftcatcher!

Most of my friends are musicians, so I'm pretty conservative compared to most of them. Thanks for the friend request, you're on my list now.

You'd shave your head and lock yourself up in your room... As if that were possible. Not to mention that even if you locked yourself up, there will always be photos of you going in your room and that would last a lifetime. As for me, I'd rather dye my hair orange. It's better to be orange because I could just tie-em up and act cool! heehehe.. soon the dye would change color over the weeks.. At least it's better there than to shave it and go around bald. What if it doesn't come back!? Now that's a huge problem

Well, if I would wear a wig if I'd really have to go out. I just don't have the courage to go out with my hair colored bright orange and I'm allergic to hair colorings I've colored my hair before and I ended up to the doctor's clinic because of scalp irritation. Thanks for the response, laydee! Appreciate it.

I am not quite sure, the crazy in me says both may be a cool and new look for me. I have long hair and at times I would like to shave my head. However, I think that I would look totally weird that way and I am not sure if a hat would help. However, if I dyed it bright orange, I would fit in with the younger crowd easier. I think it would be more acceptable. I could not hide in my house until my hair grew back, I would go stir crazy. I would pick dying my hair bright orange, final answer. I asked my husband this question, he said he would dye his hair orange for 2 reasons. 1) He will be bald soon enough. 2) With orange hair, he could still go hunting and not wear a hat. LOL

I'm not into this weird colours type of thing but I do feel goofy from time to time and I think a bright crimson with a green lining is good. I doubt I would ever shave my head. I like well tailored and trimmed hair and pay more than average for a good haircut. Still, if the mood is in, a bright crimson with green lining sounds good.

If I were a man, going bald wouldn't be an issue. No offense to girls who are bald for fashion's sake, or post-chemo effect but I think I'd look terrible without hair. So I'd rather dye it bright orange. It's not as worse as going purple. And again, no offense to anybody who's dyed theirs purple if they believe they look good.

LOL, it's funny how you really say no offense to those who might misinterpret what you're saying. But don't worry, I'm sure they know what you mean. Thanks for the response, Theresaaiza!

LOL, good thing you noticed. You just don't know what goes on in some people's minds you know. They think they could just react violently into anything whenever they feel like it even if you're talking about something like crooked teeth or infected pimple.

I don't think I could handle doing the bald thing. Let's face it, not everyone has a well shape noggin. I think that people who choose the bald look are pretty self-confident. That being said, I really don't like my ears and often wear my hair as to conceal them a bit. So there's 2 big reasons for me going orange.

Yea. Not that the orange is easy to carry but the balder would be more challenging. Not everyone looks good bald.

I would rather dye my hair orange, I've got a pretty big head that I have no intention of seeing bald any time soon. Plus my forehead is kind of large, so it'll just look completely awkward with no hair. So I would much rather dye it orange, I don't think walking around with orange hair would be that bad (although it will freak the heck out of my boyfriend ).

Hey Reichiru! Well, if you'll bright orange hair, I would suggest that you wear hat or cover it with bandanas or something 'cause I'm sure that'll attract people's attention . Thanks for responding!

hmmm i am a singer and during my younger years i tried to not entirely shave my head but to wear my hair so short. my face was so thin that it does not look good on ne. i colored my hair too but not with that bright orange for i dont like to call too much attention lol. but for the sake of the discussion i would rather dhave my hair for i can wear wigs and badanas.... sothat my children wont crusify me lol. i dont like coloring my hair bright orange for i know i will look silly and that my children will rather take me bald i guess than have orange hair....

I'm right with you on that, roni! At least, if you've a shaved head, you could wear wigs of different hairstyles whenever you like and like you've said put some bandanas on. Coloring the hair could really damage it. I remember when I was in high school, I colored my hair dark brown and I ended up consulting to a doctor 'cause I didn't know I'm allergic to it, I've scalp irritation and all that. That was a pretty awful experience. Thanks for the response.

I would rather dye my hair oarnge because I would never even want to think about shaving my hair. I have always loved my hair and tried to grow it log and keep it kept, and I could do all those things even if I dye my hair bright oarnge. But I can't do those things if I shave it beacause then I wouldn't have anything to do it with.

I would rather dye it with bright orange color. At least you can change it back with some other color if need be. I would not want to shave my head. I would imagine for all the times I have banged into things with my head, there would be some unsightly lumps and bumps when the hair was gone. When the hair would start to grow back, I would look like prickly head. I know you can wear a wig but I have lost hair pieces in public. That's memorable but not exactly fun! All in all, I'm glad that I have a head and that hair covers it. Life could be so much worse. And, before I forget, my hair is not bright orange because I do not have orange lipstick to match.
• Philippines
6 Mar 09
Lol, I find it funny that you match up the orange-colored hair to an orange lipstick. For the record, I don't want to do any of the two; I was just thinking crazy things. So, you've bangs, I think that's cool. Thanks for the response, sysdexlicwriter!

depends on the weather, if its cold I'd rather have orange hair (where I live orange is the main color of our highschools football team and thats basically all my city cares about) but if its warm, I shave my head anyway so it wouldnt be a problem either way
