A surprise supper!

Tonight I had a surprise supper.....I had six containers in the freezer...all with something red in them which was either chili or spaghetti sauce....I totally forgot to mark them! LOL...so I had to wait until it thawed before I really knew what I was going to have for supper. Turns out I had spaghetti! Woo Hoo! Have you ever had a surprise supper? Have you forgotten to mark your containers and were unable to tell what was in them?

I am terrible about marking containers. I plan to mark them but then I convince myself that I'll remember and 3 weeks later I'm standing there looking at a bowl of God knows what wondering What the h*ll is this and why didn't I mark it LOL

I must say I've never had a surprise supper. I've not heard of that. I don't really freeze stuff too often, I just never seem to have the right kind of container for that. That is too funny, I guess I could rip all the labels off the cans in the cupboard and then pick one...

Hi Jill, I would have liked my suprise to have been the chilli one as one of my favourites but no I do always know what is what even if I haven't labelled before putting in the freezer but I guess that is because I don't eat spaghetti and the mince would have been more brown than the red of the chilli tub so easy for me to tell. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your suprise supper. Huggles. Ellie :D

you are lucky it wasn't 6 different things. lol. it's hard to beat spaghetti. i have forgotten to mark things. i really get aggravated when i do that.
