Are you comfortable with working that many hours a day?

I work full time... 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It's not that there are too many hours that I am working that makes me feel uncomfortable about it. The problem for me is I have a hard time getting things done because I work 8-5 and that's when many other businesses are open so getting car repairs done or working with my bank and things like that become a problem because I have to miss work to take care of them. I would rather work 40 hours a week, but maybe 10 hours a day, 4 days a week instead so I could have another week day to get other things accomplished.

Oh I would wish the same too. 4 days per week sounds lot of fun than 5. I would not mind working the extra 2 hours to get a day free. Monday to Thursday sounds perfect

Before I lost my job I worked five day per week. Since then my husband has opened his own business and he works six or seven days per week depending on what's going on. Since it's a new business he's attracting a lot of attention and it seems that folks are stopping by his shop every day. That's a good thing of course but it's tiring him out.

Yes, it takes a lot of effort at the initial stages of starting a business. What business is it? I think you can work there as well now that you have the free time

I work eight hours a day and no more. I could work more but I value my time off. We spend too much time working already in my opinion and it leaves little time to enjoy life. Eight hours is enough, if not too much time in a day to spend working.

Absolutely! All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I totally agree with you taking time out to enjoy life

I have a home based web research work that requires me at least 40 hours of work in a week. It is a flexi-time arrangement so it's up to me on how I would squeeze in the 40 hours in a week. I feel comfortable with my work hours because if there are days that I feel lazy, I could work 3-4 hours only, and if I feel like working the whole day (or the whole night) I could do also.

Yeah it sounds really good that you can dictate your own work hours. It is quite flexible and I have days too when I feel like working more and the other days I feel like not working at all.

I work very odd hours, now that I model. I may get two or three shoots a week or one a month. It might be 4 hours for a shoot, or an 8 hour day. Sometimes I have to travel for 6 or even 12 hours to get to the place of work, only to work for a few hours. But its very rewarding for me, and the pay is worth it and i enjoy it a lot more than an office job!

None. I lost my job in December 2008, and I am presently unemployed, sitting here on this computer everyday.

10 hours at most, with no overtime pay. never. though the law has enacted, but it is meaningless. that's reality in china. if you want to claim your extra pay, all right, get ready for discharge and sack your stuff quick. sometimes i work 2 hours a day. my working time is very elastic.

I usually work for 8-9 hours a day. And I don't mind spending this many hours since it's the normal duration, anyway. If in case I have to go overtime, I wouldn't mind as long as I am paid rightfully and that they give me enough breaks as well. Thanks!

Some days its too many. Others it may not be enough. It all varies day to to day. Working from home, has its advantages, and dis-advanatages.

Really I just work an hour to two hours a day, only 15 mins is required. I just have some fun working at home with an online business and I earned $100 a week.
