How to deal with people who love bragging?

In my dorm,there lives a person who loves bragging very much.He often says some absurd words, which make others unconfortable.If we remind him of the error, he will become angery with you. So we often say little to him everyday.Even though i know that to speak him ill and to islate him are impolite, i want to help him.We live in the same dorm, to be good friend is everyone's expectation.But i don't know how to deal with it.I want to change the situation and i need help.So please give me your advice!!!Thanks a lot!

well to be frank i dont mind people bragging because those brag who got no one else to praise them. So what i do is i listen to them and let them brag what they did and knowing most are lies still i let them brag..it is harmless way to make someone feel good and important.

when he start again,just ignore him.
He will stop talking to you gradurally.
