I live on the edge of a coastal town. There are fields behind my home. It is so quiet because I live in a road that ends by a river. There is a lovely path along the river edge that my dogs love to walk along. I like my house and I lived here for three and a half years now. It has a kitchen, hall and lounge downstairs. Upstairs it has two bedrooms and a bathroom. Most of all I adore the view from upstairs over to the countryside. My home is sadly getting more and more unsuitable for me. I have a son that is unable to walk. I have been told he needs a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. What do you most like about your home? Do you have a pleasant view from it? Is it in a city, town, village, countryside or by the coast?

I live in a little village, in the West Sussex countryside. I'm fourteen miles north of Brighton and have lived in the village now for seventeen years. I love it here. I know just about all the villagers and get involved in fundraising and darts, etc. I live in an upstairs cottage-type flat, and there are lots of country walks around here; woods, fields and three millponds. What I like, even more than the walks, is the view from my bedroom window. I get up in the morning, open my bedroom curtains and look out on my garden and the birds feeding there. Then, at the bottom of my garden, there is a field with sheep in it, skirted by trees, and with one, whitewashed farmhouse in it. My bedroom faces west, and the sunset is also a sight to behold from that vantage point. Brightest Blessings, my friend.

I like it... it's perhaps not to everybody's taste, but it suits me fine. I love it here.

It sounds so beautiful. You must be a wonderful mother. It is obvious how much you adore your son. I hope you can find a place that suits him, but that is still beloved by you. I am about to move from my apartment complex, but there is something I like about it even though it isn't the safest place to live. From my patio door I can see bunnies run across the back of the complex. There is a wooded area, and I frequently see bunnies (I like to think of them as bunnies, not just rabbits) and an occasional fox pass close to my patio door.

I live in the Philippines. Zamboanga City to be specific. What i like about my home is that everything i need is available even if it is not as progressive as other cities in the country. Hospitals, airport, malls they're all just 15-20 minutes away from our house. There's also a boulevard just 5 minutes away from home where you're free to take a walk and watch the sunset by the sea. If you want a simple life, this city is for you.

Me, too. In Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines (complete, huh? ^_^) our house is just walking distance from the pier (which is super-clean by the way), and barely 3 minutes ride from the airport. A market and a mall is our neighbor. No problem in transportation \, and the cost of living is low so you can get around with 100 pesos and you're secured for the day. BUt if you're pertaining to a part of the house, of course it's got to be my room. That's the only place where I can be my true self. My "signature" (not the written one) is all over the place.

I love that it's mine. No one can ever take it away! I like the double lot. It needs a lot of work because we've only had it 6 months and Hubby was sick for half that time. Can you convert the Lounge into a bedroom with a half bath for your son's use? Turn his upstairs room into a lounge. Yes guests may have to walk further but if they are worth visiting then they won't mind at all.

Hi Maximax! I live in the same little village as playapal , and it is a beautiful place! Our little house still needs some work but like TLchimes said , It's mine!! and nobody can take it away . The best thing about our place is the big yard . We have 13 palm trees and tons of coconuts . Lots of room for the dogs to play . We also have a bodega in back , it's a garage and they usually don't come with houses here . We just love our little place. There really isnt much special about it, but it is home to us , and we love it! I do hope you can come up with some changes you can make to your house to make life easier for your son .

the small river and the faraway mountain in sight - this is a photo i took last year around april when it was dry with no rain
Hello dear maximax. Well, my favorite part of my apartment on campus is the location of my apartment, next to a small river about five hundred meters with so many greens on both sides of the river. My apartment faces the river and I love it especially when I can see birds of different kinds flying over and playing in the river and water buffaloes playing in the water. I have a very nice view from my apartment on campus. And also I can see the mountains faraway. Here is a photo that I took last April when there was not much rain and the river was not full at all for you to have a look at. Please enjoy. My apartment is small with a bedroom, a lounge, a small study, a small bathroom and a small kitchen. Though it is a small apartment, it is very comfortable to me. Thank you for your discussion, my dear friend.

Hi maxine! Oh you do have a lovely home but I am sorry that it is not suitable for you anymore. I am sorry that your son is unable to walk. I hope and pray he will be able to do so somehow in the near future. I live in a city. I used to love my home before because even if I live in the city, I enjoy peace and quiet inside our subdivision. However, I think our house is getting smaller and smaller each year and I needed more space for all our stuffs, working materials and collections of my husband. LOL! Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

That it's two stories. My husband and I can do things together or separately. One of us can watch TV and the other go to sleep. We are above the noise on the ground from the neighbors around us.

We live in a smalled town. Not too small, yet not a big city either. Our home has two bedroomas upstairs, one downstairs, a living room that we have divided to include an office area for me,one bathroom, a kitchen and dining room. Our basement has a laundry room with a shower in it, a storage room, and another room that we have as a game room. I like that we have more room in this house than we did in the one we lived in before. My bedroom is a lot smaller, but we have plenty of room otherwise. I don't have a nice view or anything like that, but I am fairly close to the stores in town so I don't have to travel far. We live only a few blocks from the hospital, so if we have an emergency, we don't have far to go. My neighborhood is pretty quiet too. We will eventually save enough money to bui;d a house in the country, but not too far from town. It is a work in progress for us, but eventually, we will have our dream home.

I love nature. One thing I got in mind is that building my own house with a nice view near the beach and a lot of flowering plants and fruit trees. I really love outdoors. I don't know but I really want that every morning I can see the beauty of flowers and the sun shining through the ever green garden of my house. I want something that I can walk in the morning with cool breeze of wind.

The house I'm living in belongs to my mother. She's living in a different country now so my kids and I are the occupants. I have lived in this house for more than 15 years and my kids have lived here since they were born. Our home is located on a mountain that used to have a great view of the city, sea and mountains. I say used to because ten years or so ago there were not that much people residing in this area and at night when we look out the window we can see the beautiful night lights outlining the city, during the day you have the view of the city as well as the sea on one side and mountain view on the other. Sadly, houses and commercial buildings are being built all around that the city and mountain views are now obstructed.

To be honest max, the best thing about my home are the neighbours. Our house is a small townhouse with a reasonably small garden, but all. and I maen all, the people living around us are just fantastic. I am the only foreigner in the vicinity, and am treated like royalty. It's a great place to live. Ten minutes to the beach and some of the best seafood restaurants in the country. Ten minutes to work, and twenty minutes the other way, and you're in the mountains.

I love my home because we own it. It also has a large, lush garden with lots of palm trees, hedges, a pool and gazebo. There is a birdbath and two water fountains which attract lots of birds, lizards and frogs. The house is one level, but the back has ten stairs down to the garden because the block is very sloping. The back verandah is lovely for having our coffee in the morning before my husband goes to work. We're going to retire and move to another state within a year or two - and I wish I could take my garden with me.

HI. I live on the outskirts of a town, only have a few neighbors, own my land, quiet where I live. I like having my own parking space. The view around my house is alot of hills and trees. In front is the main road, but its not really a busy road. Love where I live.

my current house is a lot nicer and safer than my old home. i have lived in this city for 19 years, and i spent 18 of those years growing up in the ghettos ^^; . even though i only moved across town, the change of view is a really big difference. i live in a 2-story house in the quite side of the neighborhood, my streets around here are very clean, and there's no domestic disturbances in the houses around here. i remembered at my old place, we used to hear gunshots around the corner, people arguing left to right, and other stuff you'd expect from the slums.
