An 11 year old boy,Jordan Brown, killed his dads pregnant girlfriend, Kenzie Marie Houk, with a 20-gauge shotgun sold for kids. This gun doesn't need to be registered because it was meant for kids. The dead woman was found by her 4 year old daughter. The child murderer is being sentenced as an adult. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Boy-Aged-11-Charged-With-Murdering-Pregnant-Woman-Kenzie-Marie-Houk-Jordan-Brown-In-Custody/Article/200902415227470?lpos=World_News_Article_Related_Content_Region_1&lid=ARTICLE_15227470_Boy_Aged_11_Charged_With_Murdering_Pregnant_Woman_Kenzie_Marie_Houk%3A_Jordan_Brown_In_Custody What the heck is wrong with kids these days? OK. He's angry, jealous, so why not have a tantrum like a normal kid? To kill some one is overboard. Now he will spend the rest of his childhood and half his adult life behind bars.

At that age when I got upset and jealous, I'd pout, stamp my feet, cry, argue such and such isn't fair, maybe go hide in the closet to be alone. Those are all normal behaviors for a kid. This kid has serious issues and needs to remain locked up to protect others. He will be too.

I guess this is what happens when children are given dangerous toys. Children do feel jelous. But its the crime movies and video games which gives the idea of killing other people. I don't think the kid should sentenced as an adult. Come on he is just eleven.

He might be 11, but he committed a premeditated crime and invented a story to cover it up. It wasn't a spur of the moment thing that he regretted afterwards. The kid is a danger to society. I think a mental ward would be more appropriate than prison.

Oh my, how sad! This is really terrible! What got into the kid, I wonder! I still blame the media for this, and of course, the parents too! It cannot be denied that parents cannot give children the love and attention they crave for these days. Cheers and happy Mylotting

Kids nowadays should really be properly guided so they will grow to become good persons. Children who usually have issues with their parents should be given professional help to spare them from going wrong. it's a pity to that boy who at a very young age became a murderer. He should take the legal consequence of his own wrongdoing.

The legal consequences are the end of his childhood. He's going to be locked up for 20 years to life. I can't imagine loosing all those years.

Kids these days are taught instant gratification. They don't have to wait, or not get, the things they want. So when they actually do have to sacrifice, they TAKE what they want. They believe that's what is right. What they want is the only thing that matters. No one, nothing else has any meaning to them. It's a sad, sad commentary on this world.

This kid obviously never learned impulse control. But even so, killing someone is taking things farther than most kids would. Stealing or other things would be understandable. This child is very disturbed. It's sad, but thankfully we won't have to deal with him until he's about 30 or so. He can get out long enough to get locked up again, hopefully for life.

this is a wake up call to parents...well children now have different influences and because of the world crisis most of us parents are thinking of how to provide for the family that we forget our family it self... and violence is everywhere..the bad thing however is since they are children, sometimes they dont understsnd the extent of what they are doing or what they have done. too bad he has to suffer the consequences at a very young age.

I don't think it was just that the dad was to preoccupied earning a living. Times have been tough before. Most kids don't react like this. Think back to the great depression in the States. Times were really tough. I know many people who's parents had to work and couldn't give them enough attention. They didn't resort to becoming criminals. This kid is warped and needs to be locked up.

our children spend there lives watching films that are to old for them and violent computer games they should not be playing i think this contributes hugly to the rise in violent young offenders it is all a game with no perseption of conciquence
