"The San Luis Obispo Police Department has arrested the suspect we believe committed the kidnapping and robbery on January 27, 2009 in the 1200 block of Murray Street. Our detectives have been following up on leads since the crime occurred in January. The detectives have determined that the male suspect went to an apartment in the 1200 block of Murray Street to commit a marijuana robbery. The suspect kicked in the front door of the apar tment next to the intended apartment by mistake. The suspect confronted the resident of the wrong apartment with a handgun and demanded property from him. The resident, a 19 year old Cal Poly student, had no idea what the suspect was talking about and the suspect realized he had just kicked in the wrong door. The suspect then took the victim at gunpoint to the apartment where the suspect thought marijuana would be located and the suspect kicked in that front door. While the suspect was burglarizing that apartment, the apartment complex manager was alerted to the crime and went to the apartment where the suspect and victim were located. A struggle ensued between the suspect and the manager and the suspect dropped the gun and fled the area. Police officers conducted an extensive search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect." They did locate the person and arrested him. He had arrest warrants from Fresno California. What strikes me is "Now you know why they call it DOPE". It fits in the same category as a dealer calling the police to tell them that he was just robbed of his marijuana...all 10 pounds of it. Humm, it is an interesting state to live in.
