I saw this story on the CBS Early Show a few days ago about a man selling his family on EBay. The guy wants his family (wife plus 3 kids) to basically become corporate shills. He is willing for them to do commercials for any company, wear the company logo, paint his car with logos, put signs in front of his house, and much more. He is hoping for $50,000 so far his highest bid is a little over $17,000. The ebay link is too long and I am not allowed to paste yet...so if you want to check it out go to www.ebay.com and type in "All American Family" in the search. I know times are tough, but geez... What do you think about this? Anyone wish they came up with this idea first?

I saw this on the Early show today. So you say the bidding is up to over 17,000 now. I wonder if theres any copycat auctions going on?

What $17000? Anything can happen in this recession time. This is no kidding. At first I thought it would be a bad idea but getting that much money is awesome, isn't it? No, I can't visit because I can't bid any higher than that!

Yeah the money part is really great. I just couldn't imagine putting my child (I am soon to be a mother) out in the public eye like that because I am unable to provide for them as a parent. Yes, I too cannot afford a bid *sigh*.

This is an interesting idea to make money in this recession period! This shows that how innovative a family head can be, just to feed them!

Maybe I could put my mother-in-law up for auction. No, I would have to pay them to take her, but it's worth a shot. I could start the bidding at a dollar. Someone might take her if I make her sound really good. Then I would have to move because I wouldn't want to be here when she was returned with postage due.
