Do you think it's bad to eat before you go to bed?

I know some peoples think that eathing before you go to bed is bad for you,either it make you fat or give you nightmare,my mom use to said that if i eat cucumber before i go to bed i would have bad dreams...Never happen.I do eat at night before bed time and it doesn't bother me.I don't eat a pound of chocolate,but i'll have cereal or toasts.So what do you think?

i think that it is very bad to eat before you go to bed. your body has no time to burn off any of what you just ate. then it all goes to fat. you should stop eating a few hours before you go to bed

I think its not really bad but it depends on what you eat. Do not eat large amount of food when going to bed, a simple cookie will do or a sip of chocolate or milk and not a really heavy meal.

If one is overweight or obese I would recommend they stop that habit. If one's weight is normal, and that person wakes up refreshed (that is, not groggy or nervous) then I would not worry about it. It is only if a behavior causes problems one needs to change.

yes.I heard that eating before go to bed is not good for your health.But many times i had my dinner late night and 15-30 mins going to bed.I am healthy.I eat cucumber daily ..i didn't get any bad dreams till now.But i avoid sweets and high fatty food after 6 pm.They should be digested before we go to bed.I dont mind for normal food.Happy mylotting.Smiles..

Hi Isabella, that's what my mum told me when we were young. However, I've been eating snacks well past midnight; and so far it hasn't given me nightmares or make me gain weight, so I think it's okay for me.

i eat before i go to bed, such as ham, bread, and milk. i don't think it's bad to eat before bed. i never gain weight because of this. so i don't care.

Retiring to bed immediately after supper would only be disadvantageous to good health.

in my case,if i eat before go to bed for some days, my stomach was a little fat.i didn't know why too.but i was told don't eat too much at night after 9pm.it is good for healthy.eat too much or don't do exersise a lot,it is easy to cause calcull inside.i don't know much about medicine.but i will insist on my habit i don't eat too much at night.Take care.
