I was a bit sad and frustrated. I took a scissor and cut it.
Why is it called grey hair, when its actually white in colour. If you have just one or two white hair then cut it with a scissor and apply oil in that area. Its not just due to aging that you get grey hair. Nowadays many teenagers also have white hair. I think its mostly due to pollution because I have noticed that city people have nore white hair than people living in villages or towns with less population. I could also be due to changes in the body or heridiatry. You should consult a ayurveda doctor before this get bad.

The superstition is if you pull the hair from its roots then more white hair will grow in its place. I did not suggest pulling the hair from its roots. I suggested cutting the hair, like a barber does.

Yea, I have heard that if you cut off one white hair you get 10 in its place. Not backed by scientific reasoning but just an indian superstition. So I let it be like that.Yoga suggest sheerhasana..standing on your head! But thats too funny and I am too old for it.I see my son frequently in that pose!!

There was nothing much to feel..........LOL!
I know aging is a natural process of life and our hair will turn Grey, as we grow older and it does not mean we are actually getting older. We are as young as we think we are.
You can use Hena (Menndi) to colour your hair, it is a safe option.

Ya old is gold and first Grey here was an notice or a warning of becoming old age. I got married and now I am head of a family of five members. It mean I enjoyed my old age as much as I can enjoy it. Grey hair is an alert and we should keep ourselves ready for such type of alerts, notices and warnings.

No worry. Welcome your maturity and wisdom. Y=The more you panic the more would they disturb you by multiplying in numbers.
So why not throw a party tonight as you have attained another milestone? When I saw I really felt amused and told to myself " Man you are grey haired now, so carefully now on..."

It could be a sign of aging or that you are way too stressed or it could be an indication that you are supposed to be taking cae of your better. I have a friend who is younger than me, he is 21 and has grey hairs lol More like George Clooney so you can't really tell. If I found a grey hair on my head I would really be worried and I would cover it up with a dye or something or just remove that grey hair and start nourishing my hair.

When I noticed the first silver hair I thought I am growing older, but when I noticed that youngsters of these days had more grey hair than mine, I got releived from the feeling of growing older.

Hi There,
WHen i noticed my first grey hairs ,kinda felt embarrasing that its happening too early to me .But then i noticed that ,these days its common in every youths ,mainly because of pollution, stress , nutrition ,etc. SO it made me feel a little relieved .But it was irritating and i went to the extent of Plucking individual hairs from their roots(painful indeed). That was silly i know ,but there was no other go.
But all in all these days i have taken yoga and meditation and it does have positive results ,they have started to turn black once again .
Cheers

I am lucky I have blond hair and have never colored it. During the winter it gets a little darker, but once summer rolls around it goes back to being light. My husband is going grey and it does not seem to bother him, I guess he is just greatful that he is not going bald yet.

Well, currently I have not found any grey hair with myself. However, when I found the grey hair with my parents, I really feel very sorry. Since as we are growing up gradually, our parents gets older and older quickly. The grey hair is a sign of aging, however, it reflects nothing but aging. I believe the most important thing is out attitude. Our teachers always told us: attitude is everything. So just ignore it and lead a happy life. This is the most important thing for us. What do you think?
