The decision of the Pakistan government to have a deal with Taliban in Swat Valley will have far reaching effects. The most affected will be women. It has been in fact started as the girls school and colleges have been closed. It is hard to understand their motives. The Human Rights Organisations should take notice of this. It needs collective actions from world powers because it may have ripple effects.

As an outsider I understand their motives: If you keep people ignorat=nt then they will never think to rebel. I do NOT agree with this but it is very effective. Do you live in this region? How are the women reacting? I'm sorry but I am not current on any news but I am interested in this subject.
