It is now very popular for college students to have some part-time jobs. Some people support it while others do not. What is your opinion? Give evidence to support it.

HI gallantman! Its in betterment of the students that they do job while studying.Being economically independent always helps in boosting confidence which reflects in every field of the life.As they say,you value money when you know haw hard it is to get them.Since in the real life we have to earn money for our living so why not start knowing about them while we are young. I have friends who do the same while they are studying. They understand the value of money and at the same time get the experience to.But if one has only goal of study and has to do some research and all that kind of stuff, which means he doesn't have time for these kind of things then part time job isn't good for him.for it might take his valuable time away.

Hi my friend! that's true being economically independent helps in boosting confidence. But I think it also depends on how much money one can earn. one may seldom be happy if he/she earns little while he/she always wish to get more. haha!~ LOL

Personally i do not prefer to work while studying, WHY , Simple bcoz my college timings are such that it is impossible for me to work while study. My college time is from 10 am to 5 pm + 2 hours of travelling,so its not difficult for me but its impossible. But rather this difficulties if i go to work i will definately fail in my exams.

I guess it's okay for college students to take part time jobs as long as they won't forget about their schooling.. you know, i have lots of friends who took part time jobs when we were in college.. some worked as service crews, some worked as office assistants, etc.. but they were able to manage their time well.. i really admire students who are working very hard to support themselves..

Hi there , Its a good option to take up part time jobs especiall when the are having their holidays. This makes them more responsible and they understand how to manage their hard earned money. But what they should be made sure of is that they should not fret to much about making money ,but its just a matter of passing time in a good way ,rather than waste time on computer games ,mobiles , tv ,etc. So all in all ,its a good thing to join a part time ,provided they understand why they are doing it. cheers

I think it depends on what part-time job you do. My major is English in college. And I do part time jobs as private teacher of English. It seems as a kind of practice for me. This is my experience sharing with you.Good luck and happy mylotting.

For a lot of college students a part time job is a necessity. With books costing me around 400 dollars a month, along with rent, living, and tuition not having a part time job wouldn't be an option. It took me a little while to learn to budget my time, and I have had to stay up a bit later to complete all my readings and assignments, a part time job has been a good thing for me. I feel that a part time job will help all college students mature, and will help prepare them for the real world.

I always admire students who work part time while maintaining their studies. It is not an easy task but there are students who are really good at it. I think it is admirable for students who work while maintaining their studies. Working part time to support themselves can help them understand how important it is to spend wisely. It also makes them independent and more responsible. Working part time can also train them to manage their time well. I give two thumbs up to students who work while studying.

HI!~ It's kind of exhausting to handle both our study and a part time job.So the students who work part time job while maintaining their studies well must be the kind of ones that are quite hardworking and tenacious.Such spirit is worth admiration!

Hi there! I think that if one has no other choice, there's no problem about it. It will also help them to develop their sense of responsibility and teach them to be hard working and also wise in spending hard-earned money. But as much as possible, I wouldn't recommend it because it will definitely affect your studies since you can't really just focus on it alone.

My parents wont grant me if I m to take a part-time job, they just want me to focus on my studying. Most parents in China seem to have the same opinion toward it. All they care about is their kids' scores in school.

There's nothing wrong if you will have a part time job when you are studying as long as you know how to manage your time properly in order for your studies not to be affected. Maybe others were not allowed to do so since the parents feared that their child will lose concentration and would prefer to have a job since they have their own money to spend with the things they were not given.

I think it is important to have a part-time job during college. What past work experience will you have to get into a job once you are done? None? That's not good in my opinion. A customer service job or related helps you get your feet wet, be responsible, and teach you how to manage multiple things.
