I knew this happens, but didn't know it was a currently so hot and lucritive!
Watch those telemarketer and solicitors and now these kinds of bill collectors! You dont have to pay these unless there was an estate left! They are just hoping that their niceness will make you pay anyway! Check it out.

Yeah, like the grief they are going through is n't enough, they have to make it worse.

That is vicious, and decidedly tacky. Using kindness to cheat, that is wrong on so many levels. I would probably pay someone my hubby or daughter owed, just because it's the right thing to do. But to be suckered into something, that's just cold.

I can see paying the spouse's since it was both of us, but I don't think I should have to pay for debts my kids ran up or they mine. One has nothing to do with the other. I think they have just found a way to take money legally but just playing on the sympathies and kindenss of people. They know relatives don't have to cover the debt, yet they try to talk people into paying it and get it most of the time...how fair is that.
