I would like to know some oppinions you guys have about ppl who sell dogs. And i m talking for hundreds of dollars/puppy. Me for expl i m looking for a dog that won t get large when it grows up cause i live in a kinda small apartment. After a few days research on dogs that are for sale in my country/city and are and stay small i feel like it s really out of my league. (arround 300 euros the cheapest race i found).

Hi drkraven, If it isn't a certain breed you want , can you try looking at dog shelters ? Do you have them there ? I would try those since it's just a small dog you want. When you give a home to a homeless dog , they usually turn out to be wonderful , and loyal pets. I bought my dogs from a breeder because I wanted a certain breed of dog. About 5 months ago I met a dog breeder that moved to our area, and I really don't like what I see . She had her picture put on the cover of a very popular dog magazine because she has won alot of trophies with her dogs . She has bred alot of dogs in her life , many , many puppies . They are very expensive dogs. Well one day one of her dogs ran away and when it came home it was sick . This woman didn't even spend the money to help the dog.Right away she had to dog put down and never cried a tear, never seemed sad at all . She said ohh well its just another dog . That tells me that her dogs are not pets, they are only a dollar sign . After meeting this breeder I wouldn't bye from one again. That was my experience .I'm sure there are good ones . There are also good dogs in shelters that are longing for good homes .. Good luck finding the right one for you.

I just did that. Turned out some friend ex girlfriend has something similar to a bichon who just gave birth to some puppies. Now we re working our way into asking her since she s not in good relations with us since she broke up with the guy ... Oh the drama !!! :))

people sell puppies to make money and i see nothing wrong as long as they have a litter every other year or so. the thing i have a problem with is the ones that breed them every time the come in heat. i have 3 dogs, all rescues. they are the best dogs in the world and all purebred. see if there is a rescue organization around you and help save a soul!! if there are no rescues, go to the dog pound or humane society. there are so many sweet souls out there waiting for you.
