ABC hasn't confirmed it but I'm reading an article that Access Hollywood is confirming Nancy O'Dell's replacement for the new season of Dancing With The Stars. It pains me to say that it's Melissa Rycroft. Yes, the same Melissa from The Bachelor. I'm not happy about it but I've never really been fond of her.
What do you think about Nancy's replacement? Do you think people will feel sorry for Melissa and vote to keep her in?

There are not a lot of big names this year. I am kind of disappointed with the current cast. I never watch The Bachelor but because there was nothing else on TV I watched the finale. I felt bad for Melissa. I really liked her and didn't like Molly... then. When I saw her more recently (After The Rose) I liked her better. I think Jason shouldn't have proposed but changing his mind is his perogative.
As for DWTS, the problem is that a lot of times it is a popularity contest, until the end. In the end the viewers always vote for the right person, the best dancer. If Melissa stays because of sympathy votes it won't last her until the end. Melissa, though, has a great personality and I hope she does well on DWTS. She will have a disadvantage starting at this late time.
What do you know about Jewel? I heard she had to pull out too.

Jewel has a fractured tibia in both of her legs. I was reading an article that said she has a few performances this week and it will be the first time she's performed sitting down.
I'm sure it's frustrating for both women to go through all the practice and then to have this happen. Hopefully everything will go well for both of them, including Nancy's surgery next week.

Melissa is not a star and will not garner enough sympathy votes to keep her for very long. I am not sure that very many people even know who she is.
There are others who are bigger stars with bigger followings who will drive her out early.
That male model, Albert, was really good but nobody knew who he was. That's why he left early. In the beginning, skill doesn't matter at all. Just popularity. It isn't till the very end that people start voting on skill.

Well I am not familiar with either of these women, but I do really like this show, and I'm sure that whoever is in the cast they will be interesting to watch! I was not a fan of the Bachelor show to start with, so i'm sure she will not be one of my favorites. Who else did they pick this year??
