i need to figure out how to get a patent. please i need some real help.

Ok so ive been workin on a little project for 8 yrs. now i dont want to finish it till i get a patent search done. Im pretty sure nothing like it has been released be for. and trust me when i release it, people will want it for the simple fact of what it does, and what i doesnt cost. but if any one can help me out i would be very greatful.

Hopefully this link should be enough info to get your application process going..Firstly,Choose the region you want the patent to operate in,and then go through the application process for that region. Good luck!

i just wanted say thanks for the link. The site gave me info that the US government wouldnt assist me with. i just hope this is gonna be worth the expence.

Welcome to myLot, you enterprising thing! I think going to that article in Wikipedia will be what you need. I just wanted to remind you to thoroughly research anyone who offers to help, as there are so many scams around patents. In these hard times, even people who would ordinarily not rip anyone off will do it. Best of luck!

The first ting I do these days is go on the internet when I need information. I know that it's not to hard to do, my Grandson did it when he was quite young, just out of high school. Unfortunately he's not around where i could ask him about it.
