I worry about Mum

The other day I rang my mum, and she said to me very calmly that, she'd done a silly thing. She had make her dinner about 5 o clock pm and watched some telly and went to bed around 10 o clock. In the morning she got up about 6 o clock am, and went down stairs to fine she had left the gas on, on the stove. It had been left on for hours, all night, I was so upset, she could of been blown up, and she smokes. I told her this, and she's says, "I know but its ok because it was still lite". Who says there is no God,someone was defiantly watching over her, she's 73 and quite fit and able for her age, but I still worry about her when she does silly things like this. Has your parents done anything like this?

Not my parents but myself. Just the other day, I left the stove with the pan containing edible oil because I was supposed to fry something. I left for a while because I had to ask my sister to buy something from the store. I had forgotten about the pan and oil. Well, the kitchen was already smoking when I got back there. Good thing I went back there before it was too late. Hmmm...I had the jitters when I imagined what could have happened if I had not gotten back there after a few seconds.

May be yes you can get her checked for memory slips, as evne though gas was lit something could have blown the flame off and then it could have led to a major incident. It was dangerous, does she live alone, I like it in India where you are supposed t live with your parents and take care of them when they grow old. Atleast then they have help when they ned it most.
