regular for the win.
i sat budget once and it ruined my entire trip. The seats were too small, and i felt very claustrophobic, and not to mention there was no souce of entertainment and food. BUt that's besides the point.
I wasn't comfortable at all. Thank God my trip lasted only an hour or two. But it was enough to make me feel nauseous and sick.

I certainly have no problems with using budget airlines. With the money saved on the airfares, I could use that for accomodation, food, sight-seeing and shopping. Moreover, meals on the planes are nothing to shout about, not even those served on regular airlines!

It all depends on your needs at the time you're booking..I don't think I'd like to take a long haul flight under the conditions the budget airlines are using in some cases for commuter or short haul flights..If you take all the extra cost options on a budget flight that the regular airlines provide as part of their inclusive service, you'd end up in some cases spending as much on your ticket! Last week I travelled from Northern Ireland to London to meet my latest baby Nephew there, flying with a budget airline..my flight out cost £5 with no taxes, the flight back was only £1.50,but by the time they'd added the taxes and charges, the overall return flight was about £40..that's still a good price! I just brought a small cabin bag with me,so didn't have to pay extra for a bag in the hold..my only problem with the experience was being told by the security staff on the way out I couldn't bring my airband radio with me which I've had along on every flight in the past few years since I got it! (including a trip to the US for last Thanksgiving..)"luckily" as they use smaller regional airports to save costs,I got the radio back before they decided to confiscate it,and left it back out to my car before going through the line again..you pay your money and take your choice! Happy Flying!

I had one trip on budget airline, and the experience is bad. It is owned by the travel agency, so the fare considered in the travel charge. The midnight schedule, no big luggage, no meal, small seat, really hard for long distance trip.
If I am to chose, I would rather to take a regular airline, but on discount.

I always go budget! Usually I have a few snacks in my purse or carry on bag. But, I don't fly long distances, only 3 -4 hours. I think even if it were a long flight I would fly charter, flights are just too expensive for me now days.
