Yes, mountains give a strong impression of power. It is one of the wonders given by the nature. I went to several mountains in China, the Taishan in the east, the Huangshan in the middle are only two of them. The Taishan is rich in historic sceneries, such as temple, pavilions, and big rock carved with big characters, while the Huangshan is more natural a scenery, the huge, soaring rocks and the pine trees demonstrate a unique combination of nature's endurability.

I go to the mountains quite often, in fact. I live in a City just only about an hour's drive to the Rocky Mountains, very scenic and very beautiful. Whenever the weather favors, I would drive out to the Rockies, and enjoy nice weekends and holidays.

I'm climb mountains as a hobby a few years back when i was still in the Philippines. It's always a great experience especially when you're with friends. Climbing up is pretty tough and requires great effort -physically, mentally and emotionally, but it's a good workout. When you reach the top the feeling is just heaven - very relaxing and rewarding; no matter how tired you are from the climb - all of that will go away once you have reached the top. And don't forget to bring your camera when you are up there, the are so many beautiful sceneries to appreciate.

I have been to a city in Pakistan which is stated on a mountain, Muree, with my family. You can practically freeze there! The last time I went I was walking in the clouds, they were thin but the best part of all, since we were walking in the clouds it was raing at least a quarter of a mile above us! It was great, sipping hot cocoa on the stove, I really enjoyed that experience.

I love mountains too. More accurately, I love snow capped mountain scenery from afar. It's not really that nice to be up in the mountain when it's snowing. It's not even nice to go for a hiking trip and it rains throughout the rain. Those mountain rains really make a persons depressed, it just won't stop and so freezingly cold. Maybe to the people at the foot of the mountain, it seems so romantic to have the mountain shroud in mist. But as a hiker walking in the rain, nothing romantic to talk about.

i am surprised that you have never been to any mountains,i am from china ,the country with so many grand mountains, and i have been to many of them, the most impressed one i think is the Huang Mountain, just as you said ,i really amazed by the magnificent scene there, when you climb in the mountain, actually, you are in the clouds ,you can feel the clouds surround you ,you can never imagine how beautiful it is if you have not been there.

i'm from the philippines. i have set foot on the majestic sierra madre mountain ranges 3 years ago. the place was so calm that the breeze soothed the hiker of me... the rivers and the springs sparkled as it kisses the rocks and you will be ensnared by those majestic small ripples as it journey downwards... clouds hugs us from 5pm in the afternoon till the sun sets above our tents... what more the my heart missed about the place is the wail of the wild deers in the stark evenings under the canopy of stars...

Well here in the Philippines we have lots of them. But the primest part where you can go is Baguio city and Tagaytay city. They are the main tourist spots here. But if your for the extreme. You can try Mount Makiling or Mount Apo in the Mindanao area. Mount Apo is the highest in here and has a great panoramic view of the region. In Makiling once your on top and the mists are going down, you will feel very cold.

I've been to mountains both when it was dry and when there was snow. It's beautiful and breathtaking but very dangerous too. It's slippery, and sometimes I think I can die any minute! I also like seeing how the clouds touch the sky just like you mentioned. it's so beautiful it makes me think that God is with us right then and there. :)

I lived near the mountains for a while as a kid. It was beautiful and each day when I went utside, I remember looking around and feeling as if I were surrounded by a protective wall of huge mountains. WE went up in them a few times and my best memories are going to an old cabin up in the mountains, and having snowball fights in the mountains in the middle of summer-time. As I said, I was very young, so I don't recall all of the sites and sounds and feelings around me, but I do remember that it was beautiful and I hope that I can take my kids there one day too.

I live in the state Colorado in the country America. The Rocky Mountians run right thru the state... top to bottom. There is gambiling city there where you can go to casinos so I like to go a few times a year. When I was younger my dad used to take me fishing in the mountians as there is a main river(the Colorado River) that runs thru them. It is very beautiful there. Everything is so clean and wild. I have seen Deer and Mountian Goats. I would really like to see a Mountian Lion but if I'm close enough to see one it might eat me:( Good luck getting to visit a mountian. I myself would really like to see an ocean!
