In the Philippines one of our main public transportation is the jeepney. Today boyfriend and another church pastor rode the jeepney to go to one of their mission field. On there way to their destination 3 men called for a hold up inside the jeepney with a gun pointed to the passengers and got the stuff of the passengers. Boyfriend lost his bag that in it is his G1x guitar effects, his wallet, and his watch while the pastor friend lost his laptop, pocket PC, mobile phone, wallet, necklace and wedding ring. In this hard times people would tend to do such thing even in broad daylight when given the chance. Doing such thing is not an answer to poverty. I hope the police would be able to retrieve the stuff back and lock up the bad guys. This is so unfortunate. we really feel bad about this. Have you experience such thing? or would you do such thing due to poverty?

Hi my friend, Oh!! that was so scary ha? good they were not killed by the hold upers? Well, never mind with the material things you can still buy that in the future but you can not buy life. I'm just thankful I never experienced such incident when I was yet in the Philippines. There are things like that also here in US but very seldom in the place where I am now. Things like this usually happened in big cities..Just hope those bad guys will be locked up.

That is true my friend life is more important over material things. Those hold uppers are not afraid to kill anyone. Boyfriend said that the revolver was ready to fire at anyone if someone makes a move. What is so scary for it happened during the day, imagine at 11 in the morning. I hope that these guys will be locked up too than to have other victims such this one. thanks for the post!

I'm so sorry to hear that.. i hope the bad guys would be caught and locked up in the prison.. They should pay for what they did!!!! i know, with the global recession and financial meltdown, people tend to do such terrible thing most especially the less fortunate ones.. but i don't think it's right and it will never be right to steal other peoples hard earned money and things just to feed their own families.. it's really unfair!!! you know, they should look for legal ways to earn money to support their loved ones.. (do carpentry, do janitorial work, apply as a service crew at fast food chains, etc) actually, there are so many ways, it's just that they are so lazy to do legal jobs! yay!

That is true they can always get legit jobs and not put their lives into something dangerous but then I guess this guy like to have an easy money and want to go bigtime by calling a holdup to other people who are making an honest way of life. too bad that is happens where we are from. Thanks for sharing your thoughts friend and have a great day.

I am still lucky not to experience this kind of thing and hope I will not encounter such during my lifetime. I would not do this act, I fear God and I respect people. I would not even consider having this unlawful act for my own benefits. I believe in karma, and I just noticed that people with this activity continues to be in poverty even if they get large sum of money and I just concluded its because they gain things not in a natural way.

I believe in what you said that people who takes advantage of others will never get out of poverty since they are doing bad things such as this. Working with hardwork and perseverance is very important to success and people of this will experience karma and in this case it would be a bad karma for they did something bad. Hope the police will be able to find them and lock them up in prison.

Soooo bad that this sort of thing happened to ur loved ones.Talking about it i think this purely happened due to arising poverty in this world.Well personally i think there are a lot more ways to earn money rather than stealing.Even if i dont have a penny left with me i wont do such a bad thing.

I think the others want an easy way out on things instead of working for it they prefer to have an easy money by stealing even to the extent of putting their life in danger. Too bad that this have happen to someone to close to me. Thanks for the response.
