Is it right that sometimes for somebody's well-being we lie to him for his happiness or we should tell him the truth to him with a hard face on & accept whatever comes ahead?

It all really depends on the circumstances and the nature of lie and the consequences of telling the lhe. If it is not a harmful lie then it is ok but if it will create many problems in the future then it would not be a wise thing to do so.

I think the only time when lying is acceptable is when we're protecting the life of a person. Lying to give someone happiness would be good on the short run but it won't really fix the problem. Sometimes, tough love is the only way even if the person would hate us for doing it.

we may think that if we lie, a person may feel good , but it won't be for long because when that person will sooner or later comes to know about the truth. that can be very hard and may even create a problem in a relation if any exists.so its better to tell the truth the first time. And also depends upon the situation.

i think telling the truth is best..truth may hurts but it is not going to hurt for a long time if you will learn to accept..unlike lies...the longer you believe in lies, the more you will get hurt in the long run..

i think honesty is still the best policy. if you really care about the person's welfare you should tell him or her the truth no matter how painful it is. it's better to be honest than to back stub the person you cared for by lying to him or her. the person will still be grateful to you for telling the truth. you also gain his or her trust by telling the truth.
