My puppy gets to play in the water!!

It was a lot warmer last weekend, I brought my puppy to the pond, let him try to play in the water, I threw a stick and told him to get it, he went get in but if I threw too deep, he was a little scared and didn't know what to do. I think he just doesn't figure out he can swim yet because he is only 6 months, still have long way to go. I can't wait to bring him swim in the summer.:-D I attached a picture:-) Did you get to bring your puppy to swim yet? Is your puppy scared of water?
