Has anyone ever read the book by Fannie Flagg known as Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Top Cafe? I have to read it for my English clas. I have seen the movie, an I was wondering if the movie is better than the book, or is the book better than the movie. What are your guys opinions, and what are your opinions of the book if you have read it?

film - I have neither letfilm intense themes based on the emancipation of women, racial discrimination and social injustices, but also capable of a delicious irony and humor of a certain "black".
I have neither read nor seen the film but usually movies from novels are not so beautiful as the novels themselves as often having to do a summary is not even the most beautiful parts of the book itself.

I have read the book, though it's been a while, and I have seen the movie, many times. As with any book that becomes a movie, there are going to be differences. There is more room for details in a book which have to be cut out for a 2 hour movie. The other thing about the book, there is actually a recipe included for fried green tomatoes. If you have never tried them they are really good. The hard part is finding anyone that will give up their tomatoes before they are ripe lol
