I have seen a lot of interesting ways of creating gardens in small spaces using containers and people have turned all sorts of things into planters before but I have never seen anything like this before! I'm not sure even what to think of this kind of recycling. I suppose it saves one more item from the landfill. Would you do this with an old toilet?

I guess if one put something around the toilet, and planted up around it some, that it wouldn't look so much like a toilet, LOL. I love the second picture you posted.

I have never seen a pedestal sink, but I have seen the bathtubs out in the country. I think I would rather bury a tub, and fill it with water for fish, or dirt for flowers.

I have one that I plan to do just that with when all the work is completed on the house and the yard. I love ponds.

I wish I could have seen the look on my own face when I saw the first one! You can't miss the bathtubs from the street and there is a row of pedestal sinks along one side of the building as well.

I've seen this kind of thing around before. It seems like something my grandparents might do. My grandpa tends to use a lot of old farm equipment though. I think it'd be a fun project to paint and decorate the toilet and then maybe grow vines up and around it.

I think reusing old farm equipment that way is great. I've seen some pretty interesting sculpture that recycled old implements.

Yeah, my grandparents hit the jackpot when they bought their new place several years ago because back in the woods was A TON of old farm equipment that grandpa decided to drag out and make use of. That, and tires. Old tires are perfect.

This idea is quite old fashioned! This doesn't seem healthy in the modern context of living! Thanks and have nice postings!

Does this somehow relate to your discussion regarding toiler restaurants? I am beginning to think you have a thing for toilets now! LOL Maybe if I lived out in the country I would use a toilet to put a plant, but I sure wouldn't use it since I do live in the city.

ROFLOL! I wanted to post this over a week ago after I took the photos (there are lost more) but I could only add one per post so I have been trying to figure out how to add more photos from that day. You should see what the entire yard looked like!

I don't believe I would use a toilet for a planter. Just note something I would enjoy. But, it is nice to recycle old things

Another Toilet Planter - Recycled toilet outside Mother in Law Lounge.
To tell you the truth my initial reaction was that it was something crazy. A bathtub pond, ok, but a toilet planter? Here's another one.
