Will the medicine for cancer will be discovered ever???

The term Cancer is synonymous to suferring, pain and death to us, an incurable disease which has snatched millions of lives. It's the biggest shame of medical science and the greatest failure of science. the only conventional treatments include chemotherapy or surgery which in most cases are futile. They can hardly prolong the life to some more time but cannot cure it. Are you optimistic that cancer(of any kind) will be as curable oneday as that of jaundice, typhoid or clholera? Do you have any suggestions about how it can be cured or prevented? Do you know someone who is researching for its treatment and has come up with a positive result? Can anyone help people from suferring from this disease? share with us if you have any information.

someone here just mentioned the biggest shame of the nedical profession is to nt able to cure cancer... i really dont agree that...coz am a med. professional.... cure about cancer..its in the making.. some cancers have been successfully cured mby using nantotechnological mediecine which is a king of tailored medicine...kink of constructed for everyi indvidual....but rught noe it very very expensive. itg gng to take a few more years for getting it more efficient and cheap... but yes its the mutations which r a problem... bye happy mylotting

Thanks a lot Mehulsarkar for the information. I am a student of Microbiology, final year..I know the problems regarding finding out the treatment of cancer. As you said some cancers are successfully curable...can you please give the details? WE will be happy to gather the information. And when do you think all kinds of cancer(any stage) will be curable? I heard about nanotechnology but don't know the details. I will be obliged if you share more information with us!!

Life is synonymous with suffering and there seems to be no end to the kinds of suffering that mortals are susceptible to. I have financial suffering which could be called some kind of money cancer. I would like a cure for that too. Cheers!!

Not entirely optimistic, because I feel disease is around for a reason. Our earth is over-populated and too many people rely on limited resources. Honestly, I believe some of it is only natural and natures way of keeping things in check... Maybe they will discover a cure, but there will always be a new disease...they mutate and change as we learn more about them...

Today it was in the news again here that they'd offered free shots to girls to prevent them from getting uterine cancer. There was a big upheaval because there were people who said nothing had been proven yet and negative stuff like that. My point is really that if they have found that uterine cancer can be prevented by administrating a shot then wouldn't the same type of treatment soon be available for other cancers as well? I mean it stands to reason doesn't it?
