They tape magnets to the head of alligators in residential areas in Florida before they relocate them so they can't find their way back. It confuses their senses of direction. How would you like tthat job, better be fast.

I never heard of that before and I'm in Florida...down in the Everglades. We get gators in our canal once in awhile and the little ones are caught...like you catch a fish...and are released into the river nearby. I do believe we've relocated the same small ones a couple of times but not the big ones. You let a big one get into our canal and the game is on! This canal runs between two neighborhoods and we have too many children and pets to take any chances with them and animal control won't remove them unless they're on land threatening people. So, we take matters into our own hands. Gator tail is yummy!

I never considered myself to be scared of animals. But the first time I saw an alligator, those teeth convinced me I'd rather be scared than close to those things!! I don't think they could pay me enough to do that job!
