Child screamig

It' not if it when for me...when it happens and it's usually the baby, I take him out to the van until he settles down. Inconvenient. But it's working for us. We can shop a little longer than the time before

I'd probably take them into the closest bathroom, and tell them it's okay to cry, but it isn't okay to scream like that in public and if they continue they will be given whatever is the maximum punishment in your household. If that doesn't work say you will take them home and they will not be able to come out to the mall with you ever again until they learn how to behave in public. If they continue, go home. It makes no sense dragging a loud child through the mall to annoy other shoppers. And do what you said you would do - punishment and no more mall.

They can look all they want. The person above me was correct in saying that many of those people have been in that situation and would completely understand. I think the best thing to do is ignore the child. Many times that will calm them down because they aren't getting the attention from the parent that they are after. The only way to stop the behavior is to send the message that it is unacceptable and will not produced the results that the child wants.

I have had this happen alot. First off if there a parent they will completly understand. I usally try to talk to them but i have already took them outside and let them calm down. Sometime i think all those peole and not being able to run around can be overwhelming to them.
