Purify engine oil

How can i purify used engine oil? How can remove it's black colour? It's the time to change Our car's engine oil. But i want to save money. Please give me a suggestion.

It needs to be filtered. Maybe try pouring it through some coffee filters to remove the impurities. It will be a messy endeavor though. Is oil really that expensive?

Disregard that last answer. I just asked my husband about it. He said you can't re-use the engine oil because the viscosity breaks down. If you don't use new oil, it will be way more expensive in the long run when your motor blows up.

It would not be good for your engine to be using used oil. There are claims that some additives will make your used oil last longer but these will not save you money because these additives are quite expensive. Cheers!!
