Morgana's New Thing... / myLot

Our cat, Morgana, has started a new thing and I’m kind of puzzled as to what it means. She will climb up on a small box under my desk and sit there patting my leg. Just pat, pat, pat. I thought at first she was wanting attention so I’d pick her up and love on her…she’d want back down and then she’d go right back to patting again. Then I thought maybe she wanted tuna so I’d go give her a little. She’d eat it and then go back to patting. I’ve tried playing with her, holding her, taking a nap with her and she still does it again. I have no idea what she’s trying to tell me. Has anyone ever been totally clueless as to what a pet is trying to tell them? What do you think the patting might be about? Has your cat or dog ever done anything like this? twoey she is patting you to get you to move out of that chair and play with her and thats that. she will keep doing it till you stand up. My cat when I had one, used to jump up on my chest when I was asleep, and pat my ] lips until I would wake up. she would just stare into' my eyes and sit there until I got out of bed then she would dash to the kitchen and sit under the can opener, waiting for her cat food. she never did scratch me either, just patted with velvet paws. cats are incredible.
